COMMUNITY TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
The aim of Wellington College’s Teaching School Partnership (WCTSP) is to establish and maintain a community within which effective training and development of teachers, support staff, headteachers and leaders is enabled.
WCTSP also aims to play a key coordination role in the raising of standards of staff and student attainment across the WCTSP and wider teaching community.
In March 2013, Wellington College became the first Independent School in the Country to be approved by the Department for Education as a National Teaching School, and the Wellington College Teaching School Partnership was then established in order to increase collaborative, school improvement opportunities for all teachers.
Schools within the WCTSP work closely together to support Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programmes, bespoke School-to-School Support (StSS) and the development of relevant Continued Professional Leadership and Development (CPLD) courses.
